In The Social Graces by Renée Rosen, the reader travels back in time to Manhattan’s high society during the Gilded Age. On the surface, there are extravagant parties where money is no object and social calendars that are full of them. The book also tells the story of two complex women and their need to reign supreme.
The cocktail I created for The Social Graces needed to be elevated, celebratory and it needed to sparkle. I wanted to capture the glittering and dazzling elements of the book. That is how the Gilded Age Champagne Cocktail was born.
